We are pleased to announce that our Sharalife EMR Program has been officially approved by SCOP to be offered in Saskatchewan beginning in August 2026!  This will be a 320 hour blended course.   Our first course will be offered from August 31st till October 23rd, 2026.

Course Schedule for our first EMR 320 in 2026:

(August 31st till September 13th,) ------ Online Module learning at the students pace.  Assigned                                                                                                                                        modules must be completed by September 13th, 2026.

(Sept. 14th-18th and Sept 21st-25th) ---- In person training at our new Saskatoon training facility.                                                                                                                                  Attendance is mandatory.

(September 26th till October 12th) ------ Online Module learning at the students pace.  Assigned                                                                                                                                         modules must be completed by October 12th.

(Oct. 13th-16th and Oct 19th-23rd) ------  In person training at our new Saskatoon training facility.                                                                                                                                    Attendance is mandatory.  Course ends October 23rd.

(October 26th to October 30th) ---------  Remedial week in Class if necessary.

(October 26th to December 21st) --------  Minimum of 2 clinical days arranged by the Sharalife EMR team.

 

 

 Pre-registration for the EMR 320 course is now open!   

 

 

The cost of the EMR 320 course is $4800.00 plus tax. 

 

This includes:

1.  Tuition

2.  Text book and work books

3.  Stethoscope and BP cuff

4.  Sharalife Student golf shirt

(These items will be given to the students to keep)

 

 

 

The pre-registration fee is $800.00 plus tax and is due at the time of pre-registration.   This amount will be deducted from the $4800.00 which is due on August 21st, 2026 unless different arrangements have been made with Sharalife prior to that date. 

 

  

The SHA offers a training bursary of $3500 (potentially more after July 2026) towards the cost of the EMR training.  The Link to this valuable bursary is provided below.

EMR 320 Course Student Admission Requirements 

 

  • Students must be 18 years of age before entering an Emergency Medical Responder program.   Applicants younger than 18 years of age could be considered if they meet all other criteria.  These learners should contact the College prior to enrolling in the program.  The program may need to include additional supports for students under 18 years of age. 

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.

  • Criminal Record Check Current within 12 months, upon admission to the program. At the discretion of the practicum/clinical agency, a student may be declined access to a practicum/ clinical based on the contents of the Criminal Record Check (CRC).  CRCs received that are positive are subject to review and consultation with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics regarding suitability for registration.

  • Standard First Aid and CPR "C" AED or equivalent is required prior to the start of the program and must be current. 

  • The program will ensure all EMR students shall meet any expectations or requirements set by the clinical/practicum agency(ies) that may not be mentioned here.
